Energy storage system for outdoor use
EP Energy EPES261L is a liquid-cooled battery energy storage system (BESS) designed for outdoor use, developed for commercial and industrial applications. The system offers a charging and discharging power of 125 kW and an energy capacity of 261 kWh, enabling efficient energy storage, optimization of solar self-consumption, and reduction of electricity procurement costs.
The pre-assembled and tested All-in-One solution includes a LiFePO₄ battery pack, power electronics, a battery management system (BMS), and active liquid cooling. Thanks to its compact design, the system is easy to install and maintain, offering reliable operation even in demanding environments.
If necessary, the capacity of EPES261L energy storage units can be easily expanded, as up to a whopping 24 units can be installed in series!
Batteries, PCS inverter, BMS, EMS, and liquid cooling in one pre-installed cabinet — faster commissioning and minimized installation connection points.
High energy density LFP cells, low-loss PCS, and precise liquid cooling maintain peak efficiency in both charging and discharging cycles.
From 261 kWh upwards, and with parallel connection, multiple units can increase capacity according to customer needs. With the EPGW4/8 power distribution cabinet, up to 24 EPES261L energy storage units can be easily connected in parallel to the same site.
Liquid cooling and heating maintain the batteries at an optimal temperature across a wide range of conditions — from Nordic frosts to summer heatwaves.
Multi-level BMS protection, aerosol fire suppression, continuous remote monitoring, and seamless transition between grid-tied and island mode.
